Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Facial

Platelet-Rich Plasma Facial (PRP) has become one of the most sought-after non-surgical treatments for facial and skin rejuvenation.

The PRP Facial utilises your own blood platelets to assist in the stimulation of new cell growth in your face, it also helps improve your complexion, skin texture and restores facial volume.

Who is suitable for the Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Facial procedure?

PRP Facial using your Platelet-Rich Plasma

A very popular procedure with patients, the PRP Facial is a highly effective treatment for both men and women who are looking for a treatment to trigger new collagen production, resulting in tighter, smoother and younger-looking skin. This treatment is also extremely popular for targeting delicate skin around the eyes and the skin above the lip (generally smokers lines) which can be quite difficult to treat with normal fillers.

One of the excellent advantages of this procedure is that there is no risk for an allergic reaction because it uses your own blood.

What does the procedure involve?

Your blood is placed in a centrifuge which enables the separation of your blood cells from your plasma and platelets

During the treatment a sample of your blood is taken from your arm. Your blood is essentially made up of four components consisting of; red blood cells, white blood cells, plasma and platelets.

We then take your blood and spin it in a centrifuge (medical device that rapidly spins the blood for 15 mins) which enables the separation of your blood cells from your plasma and platelets. The platelet-rich plasma is then extracted and injected back into the face in the areas where tissue regeneration is desired in order to stimulate collagen and new skin cells.

PRP harnesses the beneficial functions of your own platelets and therefore there is no risk of allergy or rejection of the treatment.
